Morgan Immell

The Beginning
Like many others, my love for music started with a Hannah Montana CD I received for my 5th Birthday. Like many others, my passion for songwriting, performing, and music production started when my friends and I started a high school band.
It was a course in Law & Ethics of Digital Media that let me peak behind the curtain into a world of Copyright and IP lawsuits, AI debates, and Internet Surveillance. I learned conrete ways that I could help others by protecting their work and image. I procedded to take courses in Music Publishing, Recording Business, and Artist Managemnt so that I could help artists navigate an industry that is complicated, personal, and everchanging.
Mission Statement
No one who works in the music industry does so without a special love for music, and I am no different. When I decided to take the leap and switch my major from Neurosciece to Media Studies, I knew I had to jump in the deep end. I petitioned classes to take on extra work for my Honors College Program, gained experience through internships in various sectors in the industry, and networked with professionals in the legal sphere I wanted to learn everything about.
I have elevated local Philly aritsts by producing concerts, helped produce fan-centered merch for some of the biggest names in the industry, and handled the booking of a roster of over 100 artist at my hometown's local agency.
The more I learned about the current landscape of the industry, the more I saw the growth that was required to stay afloat in this digital age. Ensuring artists get paid their due royalties, preventing copyright infringement, and battling the increasing threat of AI are issues we need to tackle head on.
